The biggest reason I didn't add a fake can is that the $65 Walmart scope I put on it already weighs 100lbs There is a lip inside so there would be a lot of trimming to be done though I have no idea if what Ted says is true about the cap on the end but if someone wanted a can that fits under the rail, real or not, they could trim the ring down and push it further inside the rail for support. If I had bought the unthreaded barrel 15-22 I would add one of these for sure I expect the hate to show up in this thread too but in truth, I'll probably piss away $40 on a Spikes fake can eventually.
